Abel Ferrara is a popular American director, screenwriter, actor, producer, editor and cinematographer. He is known for his independent film-making capacity. Ferrara acting on their own, the Slasher ‘Jimmy Laine film under the pseudonym of’ Driller Killer ‘Name edit. As “funeral” and “King of New York, have won the gangster movie, tribute to its critics. He has been honored with several awards, including the “Batman Gotham Independent Film Awards Award. In addition to making movies, he directed such television series “Crime Story”.

Childhood & Early Life
  • Belonging to a family of Italian and Irish descent, Ferrara spent most of his childhood in New York playing around with 8 mm cameras.

  • He was raised as a Catholic, which later on influenced some of his films.

  • He shifted to Peekskill in Westchester, New York and attended high school there.
